I’m on a bit of an 80s rock kick these days. You can make fun of me if you want but everyone needs inspirational power chords every now and again. They make life seem simple and promising. Sometimes you just need someone to give it to you straight. This is what life is all about, uplifting guitar riffs and all. Some will win and some will lose, some were born to sing the blues. Where you going, what you looking for? Gotta take a little time, a little time to think things over. Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world? Take the midnight train, go anywhere. Wanna know what love is? It’s in a smoky room, with the smell of wine and cheap perfume. When the mountain I must climb feels like a world upon my shoulders, I can’t stop now, I’ve travelled this far. Listen to the radio. Don’t you remember? We built this city on rock and roll.
